Arkansas Buffalo Adventure and Fishing Meet up - November 2022
From Sandy:
Friday, Nov.4, was a beautiful day to have a fishing float down the Buffalo. Keith and Sherri Watson and Lisa Pugh joined me for the relaxing trip. We put on at Spring Creek and took out at Dillard’s Ferry. Sherri and I used our fly rods and casted as we floated down the crystal-clear river. The wind made it difficult to cast, but we did a lot of practicing. I did manage to catch a beautiful bream. I described it as cute! Bigger than sushi! Thanks again to Keith and Lisa for their patience. It was a very good day!
From Sherri:
What an epic adventure! We had 40 plus paddlers. A couple of us tried our hand at fishing on Friday.
Sandy was the big winner of the fishing contest. After the storm Friday night, the river Rose quite a bit which made for easy paddling Saturday and Sunday. The weather was perfect.
I can’t thank Mike Watson, Mike Dale, Sandy Stacks, Chris Hugo, and Keith Watson for the help with the shuttles. We had awesome campfires (thank you Sandy for hosting those). The food was fabulous especially the desserts. Paul and Teresa made homemade ice cream and cobbler and Brian treated us to a new chocolate Dutch oven dessert that included Reese’s peanut butter cups and Reese’s pieces sprinkled on top. Yum-Yum!
I would like to think everyone that participated and made this a very enjoyable trip.
