TN Buffalo Overnight - 9/26&27/2020

We had 6 people paddle: Kyle, Mark, Steven, and I camped at Crazy Horse campground Friday night. Saturday morning Dory and Greg joined us at Crazy Horse Canoe Rental. We used the outfitter to shuttle us and our gear upriver to Trace Creek for a 16 mile trip back to Crazy Horse Campground.

We got on the water mid-morning on Saturday. The water levels were perfect and the current was perfect for a leisurely trip down river. The sky was a little cloudy but the temperatures were perfect. We were lucky enough to see an eagle and other wildlife throughout the day. We stopped mid-afternoon on a gravel bar and set up camp. Later that night the clouds cleared out and the moon and stars were visible.

The next morning we enjoyed coffee as we watched the mist over the river. After breakfast we hit the river and arrived back at the campground around 10:30. It was an incredible weekend with a great group of paddlers!
