North Fork of the White River September 7-8, 2019
Submitted by Charles Neikirk
We camped at Twin bridges Friday and Saturday night.
There were 9 of us that headed out Saturday morning. We floated from Twin Bridges to Blair Bridge, a 16 mile float. We stopped off at blue spring for lunch. Three of the group jumped into the cold water from the lower ledge, two jumped twice. The water was extremely cold. We got off the river around 5:00 and had dinner at the restaurant at Twin bridges. Enjoying karaoke, with our new member from Jonesboro, Mary Jackson, joining in the karaoke.
Sunday, 7 of us headed out and paddled from Hebron down to the campground, 6 miles. This stretch is typically low in the summer but we had plenty of water, very little dragging. We were off the river before noon.
We all have a great trip seeing turtles, herons and even seeing a few eagles.
