The Arkansas Canoe Club has a great number of benefits for membership. Most notably is the training for both whitewater and moving water each year. There is also access to CPR/1st Aid, Wilderness First Aid and Swiftwater Rescue classes through the club at reduced or no cost. Some training for members to become American Canoe Association certified is partially reimbursed.
To start a chapter the bylaws require fifteen members.
I'm checking to see if there is enough interest to form a western Tennessee, northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri (TAM) chapter. I know some people in BCCC are already members.
I've got a few in Jonesboro interested, as well as some other scattered throughout northeast Arkansas.
If interested, please let me know so I can go ahead with filling out the chapter paperwork.
